Updates from the Salesforce1 World Tour Event

M&S attended the Salesforce1 World Tour Event in Anaheim, CA on July 15, 2014.  We experienced a lot of excitement within the User Community including Customers, Vendors, Developers around the Salesforce1 Platform.

In an era of hyper-connection – billions of people and things and devices are connecting faster than ever, but behind every technology, behind every act, behind every device is the single most important element of all – a CUSTOMER, billions of them each armed with the ability to make choices and decisions at super fast speed – this is an era of INTERNET of CUSTOMERS. In this era, the Salesforce1 Platform is designed to help one connect with one’s customers in a cloud, social and mobile world.

The Salesforce1 World Tour event kicked off with a Keynote delivered by Maria Martinez, President, Sales and Customer Success at salesforce.com. Along with other Director’s from the Product Marketing Team at salesforce.com, Maria gave an overview of the Salesforce1 Platform and how customers are adopting to the Salesforce1 Platform.

During the day, we attended several breakout sessions, some of them being:

1) Salesforce1 Platform: Build Next Generation Apps, Lead Next Generation IT

Customers discussed how they embraced the Salesforce1 Platform to innovate and move faster than their competition.

2) Supercharge Your Mobile Strategy with Salesforce1

We enhanced our knowledge on the best practices for optimizing and rolling out a mobile strategy for our clients. We learned some of the offerings of the Summer ’14 release that would lead to increased mobile adoption and also learnt how Salesforce customers built connected apps for the next generation of devices using the Salesforce1 Platform to bring an entire organization closer to their customers, partners, products.

3) The Service Platform for the Internet of Customers

Customers spoke on how they are increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty with the world’s number on customer service application.

4) Accelerate Pipeline with Pardot: Salesforce’s B2B Marketing Automation Solution

We learnt how adding marketing automation using Pardot to your CRM can optimize your lead generation and get the right leads to the right people at the right time.

5) Sales Cloud: New Features and Roadmap

We learnt about the newest features of the Sales Cloud and took a sneak peak into the Sales Cloud roadmap.

6) Drive Business at the Speed of Social with Chatter & Communities

Successful companies demoed how they are using Chatter and Communities for sales, service, marketing and more to accelerate productivity, drive product innovation and increase customer engagement from any device.

7) Introducing the ExactTarget Marketing Cloud

Marketing has undergone a massive transformation – companies are able to engage anytime, anywhere with every customer through the channels they most use – email, mobile, social, web. We learnt about new ways companies connect with their customers using the Salesforce ExactTarget Marketing Cloud.

We also networked with different vendors during the Cloud Expo – some of them being: APPTUS, xively by LogMeIn, Cloud Sherpas, CipherCloud, Financial Force.com, Jitterbit, informatica and Kenandy.

We had a great time at the Salesforce1 World Tour Event in Southern California – indeed it was a mini Dreamforce.

We look forward to attending Dreamforce in San Francisco in October ’14.
