Oracle SOA / Middleware Consultant’s primary role will be to provide technical leadership for Platforms and build frameworks on which enterprise service will be offered. Day to day activities will include working with Architects, RTM/DDE Tech Leads and Business Systems Analysts to ensure project activities are aligned with architectural objectives. The Senior Consultant will have significant input into the structuring of the development team to scale the creation of the business processes.
The Senior Consultant will be accountable for:
- Leading design and implementation of Oracle and Java platform solutions
- Promoting best practices in design and development of Java Web-Services
- Developing design patterns for common problems to ensure consistency and quality of development
- Contribute to and implement standards and changes to systems and processes
- Ensuring design and development is in compliance with enterprise standards, processes and policies
- Ensuring Data transformations are done correctly
- Collaboratively working with other groups by offering technical expertise where required
- Leading maturity and transformation of platforms, developing new capabilities
- Supporting multiple concurrent efforts
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 6+ Years’ experience as a Consultant / Senior Developer
- 5+ Years’ experience with Java, J2EE, XML, XML Schema, XPath, XQuery, JMS
- 5+ Years’ experience with Architectural standards and practices
- 5+ Years’ experience with Oracle Service Oriented Architecture, SOA, BPEL, BAM, WSM, OSB, ODI, OIM, OAM
- 4+ Years’ experience with Oracle 10g, 11g databases, PL/SQL programming
- Strong skills in programming, using testing tools and scripting languages
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills for design and architecture of enterprise software solutions
- Expertise in writing and consuming SOAP and RESTful based Web Services and systems integration
- Expertise with MVC, Spring and Hibernate frameworks
- Very good understanding and hands-on Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Application Server
- Organized in approach to solving problems with the ability to clearly communicate thought process. Can communicate confidently and comfortably to business as well as IT
- Passionate about customer success, process, and technology
- Interest in quickly growing our Oracle customer base and internal staff
- Motivation to be the best and take pride in work deliverables
- Provides consulting services in a senior technical and/or managerial capacity to project management and senior technical staff
- Fast-paced consulting (true advisory roles) background
- Consulting experience with large software enterprises
- Strong ability to support multiple concurrent efforts
- Ability to lead teams and work independently
- Very strong verbal and written communications skills
- Very strong presentation skills
- Strong willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle BPMS, IBM Web-sphere, Rational Clear Case desired
- Experience with other Microsoft technologies and open source technologies desired
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP desired
- Working knowledge of OBIEE 11g desired
