Project rescue by M&S

Sometimes a project needs rescuing to avoid added delays and unnecessary costs. This happened to one of our larger clients when trying to implement SAP. Multiple teams outside of M&S had tried and failed to implement the solution our client needed. Because we had several successful medium- and large-sized projects with them across various technologies, we were called upon to step in and take on the challenge.

The initial focus of our Project Management as a Service (PMaaS) team was to evaluate the SAP project’s current state and identify any significant gaps. However, very quickly, we realized that no requirements were captured or documented, making it difficult, if not impossible, to evaluate the work. Our team was initially asked to document all requirements and, in parallel, design a greenfield architecture to compare to the current design.

As the incumbent continued to struggle, the client recognized the shortcomings in their approach and eventually asked M&S to take over the project. Learn how our team was able to succeed where others failed in our next article.

Do you have a project that is facing delays and unnecessary costs, let’s set up a time to talk.
