  • Automate business processes leverage Oracle BPEL for powerful workflow

Oracle SOA Suite is a complete SOA offering with a few main components, which M&S brought together in designing and implementing enterprise SOA architectures:

Oracle BPEL Process Manager

Oracle’s implementation of BPEL (Business Process Execution Language), allows organizations to orchestrate services into business processes.  As a critical component to Oracle’s successful SOA Suite, BPEL PM continues to gain market share and excitement.

Oracle Service Bus — formerly Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

Oracle Service Bus, also/formerly known as Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), is a critical messaging component in the Oracle SOA stack.  M&S has experience with Oracle’s original product offering as well as the new Service Bus, which is taking advantage of the powerful AquaLogic Service Bus that came to Oracle in 2008 through the BEA acquisition.

Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM)

Oracle BAM allows organizations to view real-time information and updates related to business processes and services.  BAM can be used stand-alone, but part of the power is in the tight integration Oracle provides with BPEL.  Monitoring bottlenecks and availability in real-time dashboards is easy with BAM.

Oracle Business Rules

Oracle Business Rules allows business users to implement business changes and decisions quickly.  Although Oracle Business Rules is available for use independent of Oracle SOA or BPM, part of the power in Oracle’s unique offering is the ability to tightly integrate with Oracle’s SOA and BPM offerings, specifically through BPEL.

Oracle Web Services Manager (WSM)

Oracle Web Service Manager allows organizations to govern SOA interactions and manage policies.  Implementing WSM is a first step in managing services across a SOA environment.
