In a recent press release, Oracle promoted Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) focusing on the hot-pluggable nature of the product and it’s ability to handle, among other challenges, compliance and demands of SAP.

Oracle has already made a few strategic moves in the identity management space, and their promotion of granular Segregation of Duties (SoD) along with specific areas like HIPAA and SOX is a good indication of how strategic identity management is for organizations. We have been working with these tools and promoting their power as well as their importance for years, and we are excited to see Oracle continuing in their push to enhance and promote OIM and IdM (Identity Management).

OIM highlights include:

  • Real-time monitoring
  • Enforcement of SoD policies
  • Reduce security risk from fraudulent activities
  • Comply with regulations
  • Reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)
